Condition Guide

Every pre-owned piece at FarOff is graded by our team before it is listed. The grade gives you a quick read, and each listing also includes specific condition notes and close-up photos of any wear.

New / Unused

Never used. No signs of wear. May still have original tags or protective film.

Excellent

Used very lightly. Minimal signs of wear that are hard to spot, such as faint marks inside or very light hardware scratches. Holds its shape well.

Very Good

Gently used. Light visible wear, such as minor corner rubbing, light scratches on hardware or faint marks on the interior. No major flaws.

Good

Used with visible wear, such as corner wear, creasing, light stains or patina. Fully functional and still a beautiful piece.

Fair

Noticeable wear, such as heavier corner wear, stains, odors or repairs. All flaws are described and photographed. Priced accordingly.

Vintage pieces

Vintage items are often decades old, and natural aging like softened leather, canvas patina or worn gilding is part of their character. We always describe and photograph it.
